Improve your Google Maps listing with a measurable action plan
Start with the information customers need, then measure the result. Paying a tool does not buy a better Google position.
Make the listing complete and accurate
Check the business category, address, contact details and opening hours, including holidays. Google recommends complete and accurate information in Google’s local ranking guidance.
Photos and review responses
Keep relevant photos up to date and respond to reviews. These are practical tasks recommended by Google; they do not guarantee a particular position.
Prioritise from the map
Look first at the keyword and the areas where your visibility drops. Compare competitors that occupy the first three repeatedly, then choose one change to test.
Measure again under comparable conditions
Use the same keyword, radius, grid size and search hour. Monitoring runs at a fixed morning time; comparing unrelated scans can give a misleading impression of progress.
